amazing location in places, amicable staff, everything was very good. the rooms were perfect and particularly good with private bathroom. location: the hotel was next to the ferry terminal that departs for nakajima island and the daily fireworks show, lake toya and the ferry to nakajima island, and the lakeside. the place was next to meshidokoro matsumaeya, where you can have dinner. nothing to complain about, the venue met standard, would be happy to recommend it.
Nothing to fault.

The Japanese style room, the excellent onsen, the really fast Internet, and the window view. The breakfast was good but it could be better, I.E. a buffet style and some grilled salmon. Overall, a really good place with an affordable price.

the hotel is really near to the bus terminal to lake toya onsen. we reached the terminal about 5pm and by then, the sky was dark already as it was winter..bus driver was nice to find out from us which hotel we are staying and directed us. We crossed the road, cut through a lane..and there is Hotel Grand Toya..Staff are friendly and helpful..Good and large onsen too..the outdoor onsen is a bonus..good toiletries provided..fabulous lake view outside our window..the walk by the lakeside is a must...enjoyed good ramen owned by a couple just round the corner, and a superb genghis kkan bbq diiner just 5 mins on right side of hotel entrance..dont miss..

Had a great experience during my new year stay. the complementary breakfast was excellent, and the wifi was speedy, since I used it to post all my new year photos. the hotel's location was prime, near the bus terminal, a walking distance to an onsen, and had a fantastic view of Lake Toya from my room.
My room was a bit noisy since it was located near the hotel's front desk. it was quite expensive to take a cab instead of a bus, but I didn't know the bus's timetable since it wasn't provided by the hotel.

The hotel had a great location, just a short walk from the bus terminal and overlooking the lake. The views from the room were amazing, especially during the sunset. the hotel provided comfortable beds and robes for guests which was an added touch of luxury.
The soundproofing in the room could have been better as noisy guests from the conference rooms made it difficult to sleep. the staff could have been friendlier and more accommodating, as they seemed to be dismissive of our requests.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
